30 May Vandal-proof numeric keypad for AVE Hotel Management
For those managing an accommodation facility, access security is a top priority—especially in unmanned facilities like holiday homes, B&Bs, or small hotels, where physical staff presence isn’t always guaranteed. To meet these specific needs, the AVE DOMINA Hotel management system introduces a key innovation: the vandal-proof numeric keypad for access control, designed to simplify hotel operations while ensuring maximum reliability and control.
This device combines durability, ease of use, and innovation: the 13-button numeric keypad with RGB backlighting provides advanced access control, with codes that can be programmed remotely. Compact, robust (IP65 protection rating, IK8 impact resistance), and easy to install in any environment, it fits perfectly into all types of hospitality settings.
Access control tailored to your hotel or B&B
The AVE keypad is ideal for unmanned facilities such as holiday homes or guest houses, where access codes are typically sent to guests upon booking confirmation. Its versatility also makes it suitable for manned B&Bs, small hotels, offices, and commercial premises.
In addition to the keypad, the device includes a 13.56 MHz MIFARE reader, allowing guests to access the facility conveniently using a card or proximity tag, without having to enter a code.

Two operating modes to suit every management need
The vandal-proof numeric keypad can operate in two different modes:
- stand-alone mode: the device is equipped with an internal relay that is activated upon recognition of a valid code or when an associated card is approached
- supervised by a web server mode: in this mode, in addition to the complete management of all the home automation functions of an AVEbus system, it’s possible to generate user codes for opening a gate.
It integrates seamlessly with the latest AVEbus card readers supervised by a web server, offering a complete access control ecosystem.
The AVE keypad ensures high security standards in access management: the supervising web server is constantly monitoring and will only unlock the door if the entered code is valid. The electrical lock contact can be installed either directly on the keypad—via its onboard output—or on a remote actuator, providing an extra level of security for the facility.
At any time, the hotelier can connect to the system via the free AVE Cloud remote control service, available via web interface or mobile app, allowing them to:
- Generate or delete numeric codes;
- Consult the event log;
- Manage all home automation features of the structure.
The system is also compatible with Wi-Fi touch screen monitors from AVE’s 2-wire and IP video intercom systems, which enable both local and remote video intercom interaction via app.
For full protection, the keypad can be integrated with the AF927 anti-intrusion system, which safeguards the building during closure periods—helping prevent unauthorized access and unwanted surprises upon reopening.
